SENSITIVE DATA - a multi-sensorial exhibition about Bucharest
Muzeul Național Tehnic "Prof. Ing. Dimitrie Leonida"
25.05.2024 - 16.06.2024
12:00 - 18:00
The exhibition explores the emotional connection between the city and its inhabitants through the artistic interpretation of data on vital topics for the city. Six digital and new media art installations serve as a bridge between information and the public in an experience that engages all the primary senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
The exhibition features six works by Dorin Cucicov, Alina Rizescu, Bogdan Ștefănescu, and Denis Flueraru. Using data on air quality, mobility, housing, sound, and food sources, the installations create a dialogue between the visitor and the city as a living entity with which we have a continuous and personal exchange of information.
Opening: Saturday, May 25, 16:00 – 22:00
National Museum of Technical History Dimitrie Leonida in Bucharest, Carol Park.
Program:
✦ 16:00 — Roundtable discussion on “Sensory Perception and Urban Experience.” Guests: Irina Meliță, Oana Năsui, Maria Duda, Andreea Sandu, Marina Batog

On Sunday, May 26, from 14:00 – 18:00, Dorin Cucicov and Alina Rizescu will conduct a masterclass for students and recent graduates from Arts and Design, Film and Theatre, Architecture, and Polytechnic faculties. This interdisciplinary masterclass will introduce participants to innovative methodologies for working with statistical data and teach them how to translate this data into digital artistic works. Through this masterclass, the team aims to encourage and inspire young artists and technology enthusiasts to discover the potential of digital art and actively contribute to the contemporary dialogue about the city and urban experience. Participation is free, with registration here: https://shorturl.at/E5XyX
Sensitive Data can be visited from May 25 to June 16 (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), with free admission.
